Hi,
Normally ears should not have smell, not even with earwax accumulated. So there is probably infection inside which u cannot see by bare eyes, go to see a pedi or ENT doc - ear infection is common in children under 5 years old.
;-) How is your baby's hearing? Ask an audiologist! ;-)
