等我又講下我個case:

本來我諗住不變應萬變, $9600實慳到, 係遲早問題, 唔想攪咁多野, 但我個bun bun見人地有多$100就好想我攪, 咁唔駛經agent其實所費無幾. 我都係重有一年鬆d約, 已交levy $4800 11月先再交. 而家同bun bun傾掂一個月前通知(say 30 July and effective on 30 Aug), 機票$1000, annual leave pay (9/24 x 14 x $116) $610, 攪contract+visa費用$600, total都只係$2210, 就可以唔駛再比levy餘數$4800, 即時慳$9600.

到2010年7月佢新約滿之前又再advanced contract renewal, 又係bun bun自己攪, 又係一個月前通知, 不過到時一定要番屋企一次(因為前後成3年), 咁就可以享用多2年免稅. 睇落好perfect, 不過我同佢講2年之後都唔知mud野事, 到時先算

this is what i understand and see if its correct:

if i renew the contract now, probably the new contract will commence in Sep 08 and end in Sep 10. In 2010 July, i have to renew the contract in advance again, and the 2nd contract will be Aug 10 ~ Aug 12. In total, i will save the levy of (22+24=)46 months, ie $18400. Here, i have to deduct the levy forfeited, ie 2 x $400 = $800. Net saving = $17600.

on the other hand, if i renew the contract in Oct when my 3rd levy will be due, the new contract will be Nov 08 ~ Nov 10. Similarly, advanced contract renewal in 2010 July and the total levy saving will be (20+24=)44 months, ie $17600.

in both cases, the saving is the same. In regard of the time spent on application, it wont be an issue to have sb look after my bb for a few days.

what do you think of my calculation?
