I tried to sit in the new stepwgn and picnic last week in New Town Plaza SRs....
The feeling of width of Stepwgn from the driver's seat is similar with my Premacy. (just the feeling from driver seat, may not be the same in ture measurement) This may be due to the large glazing at the front and side of the driver seat.
but on the other hand, i prefer the fitting of Stream and picnic as the stepwgn's "drving wheel" is small and thin and really look like it lacks confidence to me...
of course....its difficult to judge soley by seating alone...you better ask for test driving.....
But the height ( i mean the floor) of stepwgn is really low...very easy access....
btw, the new stream is really cool, especially from the driver points of view....but it lacks headroom...even when compare with my small small Premacy....I hit my head in the back seat...may be this the price of look like "cool".....
but if for over 200k...seems Picnic or Grandis is better choice....
just buy what you like... you will not find a perfect Car in the world... Want big space inside but don't want big car... it is very very hard to make it....
For me Picnic is not prefect. For driver, may like Mazda5 or Stream more.
just been Shatin Showroom. Honda is offer special on showroom car of STEPWGN, with over $10000 discount. My wife tried to get in the car with my boy, she said not easy to climb in. Also STEPWGN is not supported to walk from third row to second row.
As a driver, I think I prefer Stream or Mazda5.. But I bought the Picnic (even many ppl say there will be new model next year). Picnic is much suite for passenger. When I drove Premacy, I learned that the third row passenger was not so happy. For a family man, need a family car within budget...
I am driving new stepwgn for over 1 year. very good car,no problem at all. seating is comfortable. handling is good. power is good , very responsive. **must choose power slide door or don't buy it.
passenger said good. my daughter always sleep on 2nd row, no compliant.
No sure about previa but I think it is very good. Toyota ma.
