Around 1.5 years ago, when I requested the agent to come over to witness the process, the agent refused (because they don't provide that kind of service) even though my place is within 5 minutes walk.

Really poor service!

Well, finally I request the security guard of management office and my sister's helper to witness (also to make sure she's 完整無缺 when she left my apartment)

Bought her a huge red/blue/white plastic bag for her to pack her stuff, paid the maid what she entitled and then agreed a date for ticket returning home, asked the maid to pick up the ticket at agent's place couple days later. That's my experience.

咁怕唔怕佢唔去 agent度攞機票呢? 而告你話你冇俾機票.
我都係今個星期六炒bun bun，咁你係咪買１４天可以改機票俾bun bun 呢 ??

I just used normal tone, like talking but she cried so badly, kept saying sorry to me but she didn't ask me to give her another chance because I really did. I knew I found the wrong maid in 2 weeks (開口借錢) but tolerated her 9+ months ...

She was the only maid couldn't finish contract with us. She sent me a SMS to apologize and said thank you to me after she picked up the ticket at agent's office. She really should feel sorry to me, she wasted lot of my time, money and sympathy ...

係咪一定要有一個第三者在場監視住佢執野?
如果只得我同老公, 駛唔駛拍地movie呢?
係咪要check佢行李?
我知佢有我個仔D相, 應唔應該問佢拎番呢?

小小經驗:
1) 當日先致電Agent, 告知Agent會即炒, 幾點帶返個工人去佢度。
2) 及後心平氣和同工人講炒佢, 不妨作個大話, 話自己都俾人炒, 所以唔用佢, 自己湊返BB, 叫佢執野, 之後帶佢返Agent度
3) 囉返 BB D 相(你唔知佢會用D相做乜架嘛...), 睇住佢執行李, 可以既話, 佢執好叫佢俾你 Check 一次。
4) Call 定的士同佢齊齊搭車去Agent度(搭其他交通工具唔知佢中途玩咩野...)
5) 任何文件及計人工等事件, 去到Agent度先搞

買14日的open ticket, 但如果佢14天內找到new employer, 又唔駛飛, 咁用唔著張機票咁點呀? 定係應該比錢佢呢?

我問過勞工署, 佢哋話如果個工人找到new employer, 而唔出境, 咁張機票就無效, 佢哋可以要求前雇主, 再比過佢哋. 如果係咁, 咪好大risk law, 係咪應該比錢代替機票呢?

Early terminated maids

If your maid is early terminated by you, even she finds a new employer, she needs to go back home before she can start a new contract.

Only finish contract maids can postpone the back home trip in coming 12 months.

依家明白了, 即係未完約工人無論搵唔搵到工, 都要返家鄉, 所以AGENT 要我出一張可以改的機票給工人.

勞工署咁講？
我理解係僱主一定要包佢地返得到去, 而試過有媽咪俾cash工人簽收, 但佢洗鬼埋, 又要再俾愚, 之後就教人一定要俾open機票, 佢唔走就自己去refund.....因此, 勞工署咁講有d 奇怪, 會唔會佢意思係工人entitle回程機票而唔係僱主要知佢最後走唔走, 然後負責埋唔走d錢？

但你又好似講得好啱, 如果佢洗鬼埋, 又好似又番唔到去.

Yes, if the maid was being terminated, unless it was because employers' financial reasons, the employer died or employer move out of HK, the maid need to go back to philippines and wait for the visa process. But they might also be able to extend their visa (e.g. the old employer didn't pay her salary etc.). So there is still chances that she will stay for more than 14 days.

Someone told me I can pay the price of the ticket instead of buying a ticket, but all the money pay to them should be pay in cheque. Of course the maid should sign and confirm receipt. If they go to bank and cash the money, there are bank record so there is proof from the bank.
