我個小朋友兩歲多，今晚刷牙時突然同我講話要用牙膏。唔知係唔係成日見到家姐用呢! 但又怕佢會食落肚.....

我知 some brand of 牙膏 唔怕會食落肚de. You may buy those toothpaste which is safe to kids even when they swallow it.

around age 3, my kid starts using toothpaste. If the kid knows how to rinse the mouth, he /she is ready to use toothpaste.
