我同個工人係第二個合約, 重有一年約就到期, 而家政府呢彈野, 如果炒佢要俾機票3000蚊, 又要補大假7 日, 重要俾AGENT FEE 2000蚊, 重要俾簽証費 160 蚊, 攪咁多野, 我究竟可以拿返幾多錢?

我覺得工人ok就唔好搞,一年稅都係4800元.

機票3000元,咁工人用了一年,即蝕1500元
大假就一定要比,即無事發生.
agent費蝕1000元
visa蝕80元
新合約加人工100元,即蝕1200元,你工人做了一年應該是3400簽還是3480簽,如果3400簽,就蝕2160元

合共3780或4740元,跟本就無so

你的意思是工人重有一年約先完,如果o衣架提早同佢續約係唔係冇 so???
我工人係 $3480

我又係, 重有一年約, 第3期又要比, 問左agent話唔比immigration唔會比我同工人續約, 0車~ 咁我咪得個桔, 出年先renew都會waive levy, 再完多2年又唔知自己會唔會續用工人啦, 唉!

我都係重有一件約, 而家都未攪清楚可以慳幾多, 我都覺得只有一年約的應該慳得唔多, 大約2000-3000元左右. 要做錦多renew手續, 邊有時間呀.........

但若你想兩年後再請工人，就可再10年7月再續約，就可以再慳
$9600。若現在提前一年續約，可慳$4800+$9600

If you now renew contract, you can waive to pay levy for 4 years. If you do nothing and wait the contract expired next year, you can only waive to pay 2 years. The extra benefit is $9,600 if you renew now.

等我又講下我個case:

本來我諗住不變應萬變, $9600實慳到, 係遲早問題, 唔想攪咁多野, 但我個bun bun見人地有多$100就好想我攪, 咁唔駛經agent其實所費無幾. 我都係重有一年鬆d約, 已交levy $4800 11月先再交. 而家同bun bun傾掂一個月前通知(say 30 July and effective on 30 Aug), 機票$1000, annual leave pay (9/24 x 14 x $116) $610, 攪contract+visa費用$600, total都只係$2210, 就可以唔駛再比levy餘數$4800, 即時慳$9600.

到2010年7月佢新約滿之前又再advanced contract renewal, 又係bun bun自己攪, 又係一個月前通知, 不過到時一定要番屋企一次(因為前後成3年), 咁就可以享用多2年免稅. 睇落好perfect, 不過我同佢講2年之後都唔知mud野事, 到時先算

Regarding the amount of levy saved, we should be careful:

1. Due to you will early renew another contract again in 2010, in fact the amount of levy saved from the current renewal contract is not HKD9600 because it is less than 24 months. Basically, it is HKD400 per month of levy saved, i.e. HKD400 x no. of months in your next contract starting sept09.

2. When you early renew a new contract in 2010, you will save HKD9600 if you use your helper until the contract expired.

3. If your 2nd levy paid is value upto Nov09, but you choose to early renew the contract in sept09, then you will have to pay her 2 months more for the HKD100 salary increment.

So why not wait until Nov09 to start the new contract? In this scenario, you may be able to save HKD200 on salary, avoid waiting for long queue during this peak month. Any other things should be equal.

My case is similar to yours.

p.s. BTW, the amount of levy to be forfeited is offset by the no. of months of levy to be saved due to early renewal.

Yes. That's what I think.

Actually, to renew a year in advance, it's doesn't mean you can save $4,800. This is because you have you pay extra $100 (or $180) each month as the salary of DH has increased recently! And, you have to pay for visa + consulate fee too (around $500). What's more, when your maid goes out to do the application, you have to take annual leave or have s.b. to look after the kids.

So, at the end, may not worth to do it.

this is what i understand and see if its correct:

if i renew the contract now, probably the new contract will commence in Sep 08 and end in Sep 10. In 2010 July, i have to renew the contract in advance again, and the 2nd contract will be Aug 10 ~ Aug 12. In total, i will save the levy of (22+24=)46 months, ie $18400. Here, i have to deduct the levy forfeited, ie 2 x $400 = $800. Net saving = $17600.

on the other hand, if i renew the contract in Oct when my 3rd levy will be due, the new contract will be Nov 08 ~ Nov 10. Similarly, advanced contract renewal in 2010 July and the total levy saving will be (20+24=)44 months, ie $17600.

in both cases, the saving is the same. In regard of the time spent on application, it wont be an issue to have sb look after my bb for a few days.

what do you think of my calculation?
