I am an old girl there. During my years, the school was already pretty "pushing" on academic results. I heard that it's just getting more & more focus on results in these eras. I definitely agree that HK students has to tolerate more pressure, could be more than it is necessary, esp. from parents, some from the schools as well. I studied overseas for high school, the atmosphere there was very different, most students were not appeared to have huge pressure, we needed to study hard though, but our results weren't only base on tests and quiz. Without tremendous pressure, students there could still do very well in University and got a great job! Students were trained mostly their reasoning and critical thinking.
We really need to pay some attention on our children's mental health besides their school works.
