Hi all Toronto mothers:
I am supposed to come to Toronto on the 17th to renew my Ontario driver's licence... which had been expired for 2.5 year now. I know that I can still renew it without going through a driver's exam within 3 years after the expiry day... however I just learned from the internet that the driver's exam centres in Ontario are going on STRIKE????
Does any mother know about the latest update on the strike??? and when would it end??? It was started on 21 Aug/09.
I need to know within this week as I have to cancel my trip to Toronto (with my 1.5 year old baby) if the strike is still on....

I believe it's the 考牌官 going on strike only. The renewal is not affected if u do not have to go thru any driving exams. The licensing offices remain open.

Ya, renewal has no problem. Only the Drivetest centres are closed. Driving exam, written test, vision test are suspended.

They are still on strike, but the MTO website said, " If you require a test to renew your driver's licence, your licence will be extended until the strike has ended and regular driver exam services have resumed."
