我的小朋友是這校的學生, 這校各方面都很好. 唯一缺點是地方太小, 活動地方不足. 爲了可以得到更多學劵, 學校下年還會增加學額, 這是我對這所學校最不滿的地方. 在小小的課室會有40個小朋友加3個老師, 比小學還大班. 而n1班下年不會有全日班, 這對本區在職家長來說會少了選擇.

如果學校不是不斷加學位, 我會選擇繼續讓我的小朋友留在這所開心的幼稚園上學.

我囡囡讀緊 K3,
每班學生都係得 30 - 33人,
雖然地方細d, 活動地方也有點不足,
但仍是一間不俗的學校,
口啤也很好

不是全部轉半日制, 只是n1轉半日制, 因為要將120個全日制轉到可收學劵的k1-k3.

我小朋友的班現在都是3x個同學, 但下年將會加至40個.

其實我都不明白, 因為壁報板上n1班有19個學生, 加8個半日班都只得27人, 但現在班中有3x人.

不過雖然收人多, 但這學校的老師是很好的.

我阿仔報了下年N1,上星期六(Dec 1)去了interview。見有很多很多小朋友去面試,但老師話 N1只有15個位。真係擔心阿仔會否入讀到此校

My baby has also interviewed last Sat. Are there 15 vacanies in N1? Their website shows 25 instead.

I got that N1 class size information from school brochure (hardcopy) which I took at the school entrance recently.

We also got the SMS acceptance yesterday for N class. Is SJS good? The teachers and staff there look very nice and helpful. But we also apply for Victoria and Yan Chai. Have you applied these two as well?

For me, I hope my baby goes to kindergarten with teachers showing care and love. For my husband, he prefers kindergarten can teach my baby with better language skill since she loves to talk.

BTW, do you know how many students are there in N class?

Hi aung0528,

Just to share my thinking: in general, most kg teachers show care and love to kids, else, they won't be there. If language skills (spoken english and some PTH) is really that much emphasized, better choose kg with dual-class mistresses (1 in eng, and 1 in PTH/cantonese). From my friend's experience, Victoria can train students to be out-spoken for both languages. Cos' they've the kind of environment, and peers. You can also try out its playgroup first, and get to talk to the teachers and feel the atmosphere, until you make up your mind.

For non-private kgs with Cantonese as the medium of instruction, pls. don't expect your kid can learn to SPEAK Eng from school with only 2/3 english lessons per week, though taught by NET. The kids will know lots of vocabs, listening skills ok, but just can't express themselves in eng...

Hope the above can give you some idea.

Congratulations to get SJS acceptance!
As told by other parents whose kids are studying in SJS, their kids are not stressed much academically, e.g. kids in K1 are not required to recognize Chinese/English characters, but teach by way of "themes" that change every other 3-4 weeks. On the other hand, this school has organized well in extra-curricular activities. I really want my kid to study leisurely...and hence I choose this school for N1.
