I live in Flushing, NY, and my daughter will be 5 this August. I really want her to join the Girls Scout. Will the school provide infos on that or I have to contact the organization myself? Does anyone knows?

Not all the schools have girl scout troop. You may call the local council, and ask the membership staff to place your girl in the area you like.Here are the councils in NY:
