My sister in law will give birth next March in San Francisco, and i am thinking about getting 產後二十八方 for her. My mom can bring it back to the U.S. this Sunday. I know that the more expensive kind has 鹿茸, can we bring that into the U.S.? Or should I buy the cheaper version?
at 2006, my mom bought the expensive one for us.. and she got thru the custom... just because no one check her lugguage. IF your mom will be checked by the officer, they will give you a ticket, as it is "part of animal" which is illegal.
also, my mom did not put those 鹿茸 with the chinese medicine, she hide it with my daughter's new Chinese new years costume. not easy for them to find out anyway, as my parents took 4 suitcase with them when they came that year.
the way I like "yu yan san", the air tight all bags for us. and they did not put 鹿茸 inside as they know.. they also air tight 鹿茸 in seperate small bags, to my mom just need to add each bag per time..
let you sister in law to try try sin, as the chinese medicine doctor did not see her in person, not every one can tolerate the medicine, and end up with very bad diarrhoea, in that case, you need to have your mom to call back to hk, and ask if your sister in law should continue or stop.
I saw the Chinese doctor before I came to US, but that was 4 years before my second pregnancy.. ended up, I have pinples all over my face and diarrhoea, and the chinese doctor told my mom that I couldn't finish it..
