my maid is working with us over 6 years. Due to finanial problem, we will consider to fire the maid. If u are me, u will give her one month notice or ask her leave at the same day. Any mummy can share yr experience?

It depends on the relationship. If she has worked for you for 6 years (not short), you may have built up a good relationship. If so, she will understand. Just tell her and ask her to find a new employer. If you ask her to leave immediately, it really hurts and makes things worse.

Is she a good helper: reliable, responsible...etc. If so, why don't u refer her to ur friends? A good maid is not easy to come by.

yes, you can transfer to your friend if she's good and reliable because you want to fire her because of your financial problem not because of her. Also, Juliaqq is right, if you fire her, you need to pay for the long term service fees.

多謝我那"超級聰明"的工人姐姐鞭策我加速換人的決心! 更使我懷念舊工人姐姐和我們多年建立的信心與默契! 請工人真的是看你有沒有運氣喔!

i know i need to pay the long service fee because she worked over 6 years.

at the same time, we may find a new employer to my maid and hope this problem can be solved
