HI im new here and glad to see so many hk mamas here!
I wanna ask the HK permanent ID identity issue cuz my UK friend told me her first kid could get the permanent HK ID identity5-6 years ago but now her 2nd baby girl couldn't get anything anymore this year when they came back to hk. So the policy in HK has been changed. People can only get permanent ID if the kids are born in hk ONLY and if they are born in overseas, nthng can get even their parents are from HK.
SO i called Immigration dept but they couldnt tell me if my baby could get permanent hk id or not if i give birth in Macau. Before Yes and now seems cant get anymore so wanna make sure about it. ANyway, can anywone share about their RECENT experience about giving birth in macau but still can get HK permanent ID for their kids?
I have this concern because I wish to deliver my first BB in macau and also wish my kid to grow up in macau. If i give birth in macau, my kid cant get HK permanent ID anymore unless moving back to hk for 7 years.
My info: I'm from HK (permanent resident) and still waiting for my macau temporary ID.
My husband has both HK and macau permanent IDs.
