I only went to Aveda once (at least 1 yr ago), I remembered the price for Aveda's products are reasonable. Can u share how much are the shampoo & conditioner, how many ml? I remembered they've jumbo sizes.

happy to share la! their shampoo/conditioners actually have quite a big range in pricing, depending on the type.

i wanted to try first, so i bought the small size 125 ml, but like you said, they also come in jumbo 1 litre size, and 250 ml. for the jumbo 1 litre (most shampoo/ conditioner same price), price ranges from $30+ to $70+. of course it's always cheaper to buy jumbo size, but not all types available in 1 litre.

btw, i love the smell of their products, very natural and refreshing, not fake and pungent like some other brands.

Thanks ceecee! Absolutely agree that u just bought a small size to give a try first, if it's good, just buy a jumbo size in future.

But also wanna know the sales will give u professional advice or not? Or u just chose it by yourself?

missi, the sales was quite helpful and not pushy; she gave suggestions after i told her what i needed, and then just left me alone to look and choose (i love to look at everything). i thought service quite ok!

recently thought about colouring my hair...i envy people w/ black, shiny, healthy hair...my hair not black enough ah. plus i found a few gray hair :-( ...am thinking of going to salon for hair colouring. but my friend said just colour at home ok la. any suggestions?

ceecee, for myself, I've never coloured my hair at home, coz when I was 1X, 1 of my fd told me that he worked in salon before, & asked me don't colour my hair at home, coz the hair will be very "hurt". So, evertime when I need colouring, I'll go to salon!

But in Canada, I like to do colour treatment, coz it's gd for hair, but the stylist told me if someone has a lot of white hair, they only can do "colour", coz colour treatment can't completely hide the true colour.

But if u only found a few gray hair, I think colour treatment is fine for u. Don't worry, be happy!

thanks, missi! i did not know that there's difference between colour treatment and hair colouring. i need to find time to go to salon and "fix" my hair.

ha, i think it's the stress of being new mom that's making my hair white! hopefully won't find more gray hair! i'm too young!!!

Today, I went to Body Shop to shop around, it has a promotion ah. If u buy any products for $19/19.5(forgot la), then u can use $5 to buy Spring Trend GWP ......it contains 60 ml Strawberry Puree Body Lotion, 10 ml White Musk EDT, 6 ml Hi-Shine Lip Treatment Shade: Pink Cream, 20 ml Vitamin E Sink-in Moisture Mask.

Actually, the White Musk EDT really attractive me as I like this scent very much, & I also want to try the vitamin E mask....will share it later after I try it!

I tried Vitamin E Sink-In Moisture Mask la, ok wor, skin feel soft after putting mask. As I'm also using Avene Soothing moisture mask, I'm prefer to use Avene lo, coz it also can use on eyes & neck areas, more convinient!

Actually, I want to try Body Shop's blue corn mask ga, as I know the comment is pretty gd, but I've sensitive skin, so can't use it la!

Even though I can't use Body Shop's blue corn mask, but I bought Clinique's turnaround 15-minute facial mask instead.......after I used it, wow, all my blackheads on my nose disappear ah (of coz u need to squeeze out blackheads from ur nose la). But when I was using my moisturing mask (i.e. Avene, Clinique MSE), they can't have this effect lo) So, I think this mask should be deep cleansing mask. I only will use it once per week.

(p.s. as I've sensitive skin, everytime when I use it, I feel a bit "na" at the beginning, I'm really afraid that I will get redness after I wash it, but finally no sensitive, no redness wor, only feel very clean)

Today, I went Shoppers Drug Mart to buy Boots products, coz they have 20% on No. 7 or Botanics skin care products. But for the store which I shopped, only have some No. 7 products, so I bought No. 7 Restore & Renew Beauty Serum & Time Resisting Day Cream, after discount, only $19.20 & $20 (b4 tax) respectively......very cheap ah!
***Pls note that not all stores provide discounts on Boots products, coz I went to another store later on, I found out they've NO DISCOUNT ON BOOTS PRODUCTS!

I tried Boots No. 7 Restore & Renew Beauty Serum for 1 week la, feel good wor, skin is smooth & skin tone seems more even than b4! I'll continue to use it as I just bought another 3 for stocking, coz it's too cheap la!

For the Time Resisting day cream, I haven't tried it yet, I'll share it after I finished my bottle of Vichy face cream.

I'm start to use Boot's Time Resisting day cream la, ok wor. At the beginning, I found it's texture is really sticky, seems very "lup", after I put it on, no "lup" feeling wor. Even though it's not so hydrate as Vichy/Biotherm, but for $20, what do u expect? Really a very gd value product!

For Vichy/Biotherm, even though it's hydration cream, but it's texture is watery, very easy to use up a bottle. For Clinique/Boots, it's texture is more sticky, but u can use for a long time lo.

For the prices - Boots ($20-after 20% discount), Vichy ($33), Biotherm & Clinique are both $5X. So, compare to other brands' products, Boots is really cheap & also gd in quality.

I am using L'Oreal Hydrafresh Gel-Creme for a few days la - I bought it by mistake, coz I assume it's a gel, just like Clinique MSE, but actually it's gel-cream.

Feeling ok la, but not enough hydration, coz in the morning time, after I apply it, my nose area still a bit dry, need to put Clinique MSE on.
