If you have vaginal bleeding during second trimester, the most important thing is to see whether you have a low lying placenta. If it is not, and USG shows your baby is viable, and your bleeding is not profuse, most likely the bleeding is of unknown origin. In this case you only need to rest and wait for the bleeding/discharge to subside. Don't worry too much =)
