***my chinese writing board not working, fixing***
I've been in Vancouver for almost 7 years. 2 kids, daughter is 5 and half and son is 2 and half. I am living near Ming street and 63rd.
Hay, I am interested about the Chinese school that you guy mentioned before. However, do they have afternoon class for younger students only? My son will be 3 next year but i guess he may still need a nap in the afternoon.
Hi all,
I have been here for 5yrs and have 2 kids. Daughter is going to be 6yr next month and my son is 15months now. I am a working mom.
Regarding the Chinese class, as far as I know, the Chinese class start at age 4 and I heard the best Chinese class is at China town. My daughter currently at Chinese class at Burnaby North and my daughter loves it. I live in Burnaby and I think it takes up too much time to go to Chinatown.
Just wonder if any working mom here? Very soon my husband will go on business trip, 6 days and other is 4days in OCT and I am not sure if I can manage both kids all by myself. I know it is tough but I know my husband really needs to go to those trip because of his job.
My daughter is very active and she loves swim, instead of taking her to swimming class, I put her in waterpolo club and she loves it very much.
Each Sat and Sun I have to take her to practice and hope she can learn something about team work and improve her swimming skill.
My son is in family daycare and he eats so much! He eats more than my daughter in breakfast, lunch and dinner! My babysitter said I need to have 2 fridge soon and he will be a big boy!
My life is so busy and eventhough I have friends, I dont even have time to talk to them as 2 kids really take up all me time.
I've been here for 20 years, but I'm only 29yrs old. My daughter is now 4 yrs old and I've just found out I'm Bingo few days ago, due date will be next year May. My daughter was born in HK but this time will be in Vancouver. The pre-natal procedures here are so different than in HK. My daughter goes to Reach for the Stars Montesorri School, it has 3 locations, one inside Science World, one on Main street (my daugher is in this one) and another is on Nainaimo Street. The teacher at my school is a CBC, she's really nice and polite and she understands Chinese. I think it's really good because my daughter speaks cantonese at home but she learned alot of English there, they speaks english at school but whenever she don't know how to say it in English, she can talk to the teacher in Cantonese and she'll be able to understand. I know that there's a private school named St. Francis Xavier school located on 2nd Ave and they provide chinese as well, you can let your child choose to learn cantonese or mandarin. It's a catholic school and I saw the report card from the Fraser Institute of this school at a pretty high ranking. I'll try to help my daughter register that school next year for kindergarden and see if she can get in. I lives in Downtown area, any mommy lives around that area??
